BALUSTRADING

Balustrades are a series of architectural posts named balusters that are supported with top railings and bottom railings. Balusters can differ in shape and size, often found on stairways, porches and balconies. Balustrades do have more than one purpose; but their main and most important purpose is to prevent people from falling off both interior and exterior structures.

BALL AND CLAW LEGS

QUEEN ANNE LEGS

A style in English and American furniture developed during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-1714) and characterized by sturdiness, comfort, and curved structural elements such as cabriole legs

BUN FEET

A lathe-turned foot that has its origins in Europe, the bun foot is typically held to the bottom of a case by means of a wedged round tenon locked into a hole drilled into the case or a molded frame below the case. A flattened section at the bottom of the spherical bun gives the foot a firm stance on the floor
